I applied for a teaching grant at my high school (Jordan High School, Durham NC) in the spring of 2012. I won the grant in order to build a sculpture for the school. I used the money to buy the materials and spend the summer working on the newest of my large-scale outdoor pieces. The falcon is currently installed on the campus of Jordan High School.
